Small Groups

Small groups in the life of the church are vital for spiritual growth. Why is that so? There is nothing like being with people that you can share your struggles and victories with, and in turn learn to support your friends in their struggles and victories. Have you ever thought about the fact that Jesus began his ministry to the world through a small group? This rag tag band of 12 men from all walks of life learned about the Kingdom of God as they rubbed shoulders with each other and learned from the Master how to live in the reality of the Kingdom of God. Simply put, we need God and we need each other to grow spiritually and to learn how to practice the presence of the Kingdom.

Currently we have four different small groups that meet on a regular basis. If you do not currently attend one, I would encourage you to at least check a couple of them out, and attend a couple of times before you decide it’s not for you. Of course, you might find that you enjoy it more than you thought. Initially it can feel a little uncomfortable but once folks get plugged in, they often discover it’s the high light of their week.

Gratefully,

Jeff Nichols
