THE ALPHA COURSE

What is it?
Alpha is a ten-week opportunity to explore the Christian faith and find it’s relevance and meaning for our lives today. It’s a practical introduction to the basics of Christianity but it’s also a systematic resource for every Christian. The style is informal and friendly and there is no pressure to believe a certain way. For many the time for inquiry and discussion are the high points of the evening.

Here’s what an evening looks like! Each week we meet together for a meal at 6:30 (if you can’t make the meal you can still come to the class). The class starts at 7 with some fun followed by a talk on topics such as "Who is Jesus?" or "How Can I be Sure of My Faith?" or Why did He have to Die, or What about Healing today, or Prayer, or Sharing my faith, or the importance of the Bible. Alpha is truly is for everyone, including

• Those wanting to investigate Christianity
• New Christians or newcomers to the church  
• Or those who just want to review the basics and grow stronger in their faith

The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 “Faith comes by hearing God’s word” and this is just a great way to hear!

What does it cost?
There is no charge for the Alpha Course.

When is it?
We normally run the Alpha course once in the fall and once in the spring.
