An Invitation to
Celebrate Recovery

We welcome you to join us on Monday evenings at Lucas Valley Community Church to discover & to celebrate God's love and help and healing power. Together we'll learn about God's ways of helping us overcome the kinds of hurts, hang-ups and habits that so many of us deal with in this upside down world; issues that when ignored can literally destroy our lives and families.

Many of us carry deeps wounds and scars from the past and they are hurting us, controlling us or holding us back from having a great life. The good news is that God can heal those wounds and turn the scars into stars as we grow in His insight and strength. A new life of peace, self control, of joy and purpose can be our experience as we deepen our relationship with God through His Son Jesus. That's what Celebrate Recovery is about. Following are some of the kinds of issues that people are dealing with in our weekly meetings.

  • Anger, Stress or Grief
  • Addictions with Food or Drugs, with Alcohol, Sex, pornography, gambling or spending
  • Physical abuse, control issues, rejection
  • Bitterness or Un-forgiveness
  • Religious guilt or shame

This Is A Place of Grace

This is really a place where no one is judged and everyone is welcome. The truth is the reasons that bring you or the issues you're dealing with need never be shared with anyone in the group; you can be totally private about those things if you like.

The resources we'll be using have universal application to the kinds of troubles and challenges so many of us deal with. God's word will be at foundation of our learning. The 12 Steps of Recovery along with their biblical comparison will also bring insight as well as the material of Celebrate Recovery Ministry.

Among the greatest resources will be each other as we are helped by the experience, strength and hope that each of us bring to the group. We deeply need each other. But even beyond all this we have the presence and power of God's Spirit to count on. We welcome you to join us.

Meetings begin at 7 p.m. each Monday. On the first Monday of each month we will have a free dinner at 6:30 p.m., so join us for that if you can. The evening will include some songs, teaching and sharing time, some time for laughs and fun and encouragement for sure.

If we are going to have the great life God intends and we all want, and you've got some pain, or hurts, some sadness, or addictions or history that you are Stuck in, then maybe Celebrate Recovery is for you. Come and check it out. There is no charge for anything, just grace to you!
